So I went out for a girls night out tonight which involved a buffet and alot of red wine! Didnt have a full portion of anything so finding it hard to calculate the calories! looking online and guessing the calories of the things I had at the buffet!
Breakfast = Crunchy nut cornflakes-178 calories
Lunch = Heinz Cream of chicken soup in a small loaf(didnt eat the bread) - 144 calories
Dinner = small salad (lettuce,cucumber,tomato)40 calories, beef stir fry 100 calories, mussles in tomato sauce 200 calories, 4 glasses red wine 480 calories.
Total calories =1 142

Still within my target calories!

(1/2 cup skimmed milk, 1/2 cup tropicana 100% natural orange juice, 1 cup frozen berries)
Lunch: Turkey on white crusty roll with tomatoes: 340 calories (need to find a healthier alternative)
Dinner: 1/2 portion of lean mince Spaghetti Bolognese 1 piece of garlic bread: 300 calories
Snacks for the day: 1 Twirl : 300 calories, small portion of pringles : 76 calories, 1 raspberry ruffle: 150 calories
Total calories: 1 337.5

Warm up...
Breakfast: 30g Frosties with skimmed milk=170 calories
Lunch: Turkey on 100g crusty white roll with tomatoes=340 calories
Snack: 1 finger of Twirl=115 calories 1 pear=40 calories
Dinner: 1/2 Pizza Express Pepperoni pizza=517 calories
Total calorie intake = 1,182 calories
I found a website which said to consume 3,500 less calories a week (which would work out about 1,700 calories) if you want to lose weight. I plan on consuming up to 1,5oo a day and see how that works out.
Today didn't quite work out as planned. I slept really late which threw my meal times off a little but I still managed to stay under 1,500 calories. Had a lazy day watching extras and browsing the net but I didn't snack too much which was better than most days! Fingers crossed I can keep that up.
Hopefully I will manage to get to sleep at a reasonable time tonight so I can get up with S tomorrow and make us both a smoothie for breakfast. Tomorrow night is also our gym night will try and motivate myself to stay there for at least an hour! We are quite lucky because we have a free gym in our compound. Its not got state of the art equipment or anything but I mainly use the treadmill and the bike which both seem to work fine. Will probably spend the day looking for motivational music to put on my I-pod to keep myself going at the gym!

Welcome
Hi & welcome to my weight loss journey. On this blog I will post the details and progress of my weight loss including everything from my daily meals to my daily ramblings!
I'm starting this blog mainly to keep track of my progress but also to share ideas, feelings, recipes and maybe some tips with other slimmers out there!
I am setting myself a target weight loss of 30kg they say the healthy average amount of weight loss per week is 0.9kg so hopefully I should be able to lose 30kg in 7&1/2 months. I am curren
tly a uk size 16 (european 44 USA 14) and I hope to go down to a uk size 12 (european 40 USA 10).
As of Sunday 31st May I will be starting Scottish Slimmers online which basically categorizes all foods into a check point system and depending on your current weight etc they specify how many checks you are allowed each day. I have had a look through some of the online recipes and there are quite a few meals I like the sound of. I have known a few people who have had success with Scottish Slimmers and I'm hoping it will have the same effect for me!
So my goals are:
To lose 30kg over a period of 7&1/2 months.
To go to the gym at least 3 days a week.
To drop 2 dress sizes.
To stop snacking on rubbish in between meals.
To add more fruit & veg into my diet.
To train myself into eating proper portions.
To become more fit & healthy.
To have fun!
